Uniquely bound in gilt-embossed cloth-over-boards with sumptuous printing by The Meriden Gravure Company from half-tone negatives made by Richard Benson, it certainly ranks among the great American photography books of the Twentieth Century. A brand new, pristine example of this impressive tome (cited on pages 310-311 of The Hasselblad Center's "The Open Book", page 28 of Martin Parr and Gerry Badger's "The Photobook: A History Volume II", page 35 of "From Fair to Fine", and pages 236-237 of "The Book of 101 Books") still in the publisher's shrinkwrap and cardboard shipping carton showing none of the typical sunning associated with this title.
