The auto-biographical text tells the Lyon family's history, beginning with the 1905 revolution in Russia, and covers the unrest of 1960s America and the social radicalism of New Mexico in the 1970s. Only copies of the extra-deluxe edition numbered 1-50 contained the signed photographic print.
