Electronics Advertisements. Very Good -./No Jackets - As Issued.. One 27 x 20" + four 13 ½ x 10" die-cut cardboard sheets screenprinted color offset recto only, mounted on stiff cardboard backing. This is a striking group of five vintage advertising standups produced for the pioneering late twenties, early thirties New Jersey-based electronics manufacturer Arcturus Radio Tube Corporation by Ivel Displays, Inc. of New York City as a retailer sales tool to promote their line of "Blue A-C Long Life Tubes". Vividly colored with science fiction-inspired illustrations, these claim ""Quick 7 Second Action", "More Volume", "Hum-Less Clearer Reception", "Immune to Current Changes", and more. There are four smaller placards accompanied by a larger piece depicting the rocket ship-like five pin blue tube along with the Arcturus logo. A bright, mostly well-preserved set of these vibrant, exceedingly uncommon advertisements showing some light staining, wear, scuffing, and chipping to the faces of the signage with varying degrees of foxing and dampstaining to the versos still housed in the manufacturer's perishing original cardboard shipping carton, as issued.
