"This powerful and enigmatic small volume is a facsimile reprint of the first artist's book "Riceboy Sleeps" from Sigur Ros frontman Jon "Jonsi" Thor Birgisson and his boyfriend Alex Somers, which was originally released only in Iceland. Birgisson designs Sigur Ros' album sleeves, and garnered the band a Grammy-nomination for his artwork. "Riceboy Sleeps" is beautifully produced, bearing faux taped and tattered edges, hand drawing, and distressed and collaged elements. Every detail of production has been exquisitely refined, from the softly rounded corners to the paper stock, from the print quality to the subtle embossing both inside and out. It contains no text, just Birgisson and Somers' highly expressionistic works created from found photographs and layers of textures".
