This is Keith Haring's New Year's greeting in the form of a silkscreen print commissioned by the artist's longtime German representative, Galerie Hans Mayer little more than a year before his untimely passing. It intones in gold ink "FROHE WEIHNACHTEN! / HAPPY NEW YEAR 1989! / GALERIE HANS MAYER" in the artist's hand with a bold "© Keith Haring" signature in the screen. The image depicts seven of his familiar interlinked dancing figures with lines radiating ringing in the holiday. A brand new, most handsome example of this uncommon ephemeral artist's multiple that has been folded in half vertically, as issued, housed in the gallery's similarly folded printed red cardstock sleeve, as issued.
