This is the catalogue published in conjunction with a 1956 Josef Albers retrospective exhibition of fifty-nine artworks and objects executed between 1921 and 1956 held at the legendary abstract artist, Bauhaus design teacher, and Yale University Art department chair's own Yale University Art Gallery. It features a text by George Heard Hamilton as well as brief excerpts of the writings by the artist, and includes two tipped-in, vibrantly colored, unsigned individual "Homage to the Square" screenprints.
