Very Good.. One 35 x 24 ½" heavy paper sheet printed color offset recto only, 1 color illustration. Designed by Gordon Matta-Clark. This is the striking poster cum artist's multiple published in conjunction with Gordon Matta-Clark's 1977 project in Antwerp sponsored by the Internationaal Cultureel Centrum. Invited to create a work in honor of the four hundredth anniversary of the Antwerp Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens, the noted artist elaborated upon his "Splitting" piece by performing an intervention that became known as "Office Baroque" on a vacant building on the Ernest Van Dijckkaai provided by the I.C.C. The poster reproduces Matta-Clark's photomontage proposal for the work. A handsome example of this exceedingly uncommon item whose provenance derives from Holly Solomon - Matta-Clark's primary dealer during his lifetime who along with her husband Horace purchased the Humphrey Street residence for the artist's use - from the edition of two hundred and fifty copies BOLDLY SIGNED "Gordon Matta Clark" AND NUMBERED (118/250) in black ink on the recto showing some minor handling creases and small nicks along the edges.
